After completing her medical secretary studies at the University of Moncton, Nicole started working with Dr. Prizant and Dr. Bastien in 1988. Nicole loves helping the loyal and friendly patient base at the clinic and feels lucky to have worked with good, caring colleagues over 25 years.
As the clinic’s receptionist, Stephanie keeps the office running smoothly for the staff, patients, and their families. With three years’ experience at the clinic, Stephanie loves working in the Sandy Hill community, and cites dedication and teamwork as the backbone of the clinic’s success.
A member of the Bastien Prizant Optometry team since 2006, Josée brings over 25 years’ experience in optometry and frame selection to the clinic. Josée is passionate about spending time with patients to find their perfect frames, and won’t rest until you are overjoyed with your selection. Outside clinic hours, Josée enjoys Zumba, and outdoor activities like camping and fishing.
Born in Elliott Lake, Ontario and raised in Halifax, Melanie Falardeau’s journey from coast to coast has taken her to also live in the cities of Montreal and Vancouver before settling down in Ottawa.
Having acquired over a decade of management and customer service experience specializing in security, recruitment, and banking, Melanie is a valued addition to the Bastien and Prizant team.
As a bilingual receptionist, Melanie is also fully trained to administer routine pretests for our valued patients using our array of sophisticated instruments.
Outside of work, Melanie is a visual artist, collector of oddities such as antiques, insects, and fossils, and a fervent lover of wildlife.

Born and raised here in Ottawa, Robin has now been in the optical industry for 10 years. Here at Bastien and Prizant Optometry, she is responsible for assisting the Optometrists by performing all of the retinal imaging and pretesting required for our patient’s eye exams. The most definitive experience in her career so far was being able to witness a baby seeing her parents clearly for the first time. Robin knew the optical industry would be a lifelong journey from that moment on.

Ayant passé toute sa vie à Ottawa, Robin fait partie de la communauté optique depuis 10 ans. Chez Bastien et Prizant Optométrie, elle est en charge de toute l'imagerie rétinienne et des pré-tests pour les examens oculaires de nos patients. Le moment marquant dans la carrière de Robin a été le jour où elle a pu voir un bébé porter des lunettes et voir ses parents clairement pour la première fois. À partir de ce jour-là, Robin a su que l'industrie de l'optique serait pour elle un voyage de toute une vie.
